Vietnam visa application in New York

For US citizens who come to Vietnam by land or sea, you are advised to obtain Vietnam visa at embassy of Vietnam in Washington by 3 steps below:

-   Access website of Vietnam Embassy and complete the visa form online. Print it out, sign and attach with a passport-sized photo

-   Submit the form together with original passport (valid for at least 6 months), Vietnam visa fee and prepaid return envelop (if  you wish to receive the passport back by post)

-   Collect your passport with a visa stamp on it after 5 bussiness days (normal service) or 1-2 bussiness days (rush service)

1.   Submit Vietnam visa application online
-   You are required to fill out a visa application form completely and accurately

2.   Pay visa processing fee
-   The applicants can pay the Vietnam visa fee through online payment gateway

3.   Receive visa approval letter in your email
-   The normal process for visa approval letter is 2 business days. We also provide fast track service for emergent cases. Please enter here for more details

4.  Get visa stamp at arrival airport
-   Please present the following documents for stamping process at the airport: original passport (minimum validity of 6 months), entry and exit form, visa approval letter, 1 passport sized photo and stamping fee.

Note: you are unable to apply for visa upon arrival if entering Vietnam by sea or land.
