Vietnam tourist visa for US citizens

The US citizens coming to Vietnam as tourists, to visit friends or relatives, must apply for a Vietnam tourist visa (C1) in advance. Once the US visitors are in Vietnam, an additional extension of 6 months can be obtained.

1/ Apply in person or by mail at/to Vietnam Embassy

In order to apply for a tourist visa to Vietnam from US, applicants must submit:

-  Visa application form (complete the form online and print it out or download the pdf form to your computer and fill out)

-  Original passport valid for at least 1 month after date of exit from Vietnam or 6 months from date of entry into Vietnam

-  01 passport photo to attach with the application form

-  Visa fee

-  Prepaid return envelop (if you submit the application by mail)

After the embassy receives your complete Vietnam visa application, you are requested to wait 5 days (normal process) or 1-2 days (expedited process with additional fee) to collect the visa. Once you have the visa, please check for accuracy on your visa. In case of mistake, please contact immediately to the embassy for correction.

2/ Apply online on our website
